Antena1 is ready for the "Tratar o cancro por tu" conferences.

The second edition of the “Talking to you about cancer” initiative aims to help people gain a better understanding of the concepts and terminology associated with the disease.

Words on Board: Today, I'm sharing stories at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library in Porto as part of the 2nd edition of the "Tratar o cancro por tu" initiative.

After a highly successful first edition that gathered hundreds of people across the country, Ipatimup once again leaves labs and hospital offices.

Deconstructing the myths associated with cancer is the mission that, starting this Friday, will take our Ipatimup researchers to various parts of the country.

Ipatimup is once again stepping out of laboratories and hospital consulting rooms to speak with the public about the latest scientific and medical advancements in cancer research.

"Tratar o cancro por tu" is the name of an Ipatimup initiative now in its second edition.

Sobrinho Simões, a cancer researcher at Ipatimup, explains the need for "quality control" of data and information on cancer.

About a year ago, the first "Tratar o cancro por tu" session took place in the small auditorium of Teatro Rivoli, promoted by Ipatimup and i3S.

The 2nd cycle of "Tratar o cancro por tu" sessions kicks off this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library Auditorium in Porto.
