Viana do Castelo will host a session of the national cycle “Tratar o Cancro por Tu” on February 19th. This initiative, from Ipatimup – the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto – aims to bring scientists and citizens closer together and dispel myths about cancer, a disease that is increasingly controllable today. According to researcher Manuel Sobrinho Simões, two-thirds of people diagnosed with cancer no longer die from the disease.
